My suggestion is to make a way to subscribe to the giveaway subforum (to be notified of new threads) and to make it so that mentioning members is a forbidden requirement.
(adding a way to disable mention notifs for the giveaway section would also be a solution but I like the idea of people being able to subscribe to giveaways)
